Guangzhou International Sister City Vocational Education Alliance
The Guangzhou International Sister City Vocational Education Alliance is an international vocational education alliance initiated by the Guangzhou Institute of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering under the support of the Foreign Affairs Office of Guangzhou Municipal Government and the Human Resources and Social Security Bureau of Guangzhou. It was jointly launched by vocational colleges, institutions and enterprises from international sister cities and officially established in June 2024.
Core Positioning
With the concepts of openness, cooperation and win-win, it deeply integrates into the overall framework of jointly building the “Belt and Road Initiative”, builds a multilateral exchange mechanism for international vocational education, and creates a community for the international development of vocational education, contributing to the creation of a new brand of foreign affairs in Guangzhou that is empowered by vocational education.
Core Goals
To enhance exchanges and cooperation in vocational education between Guangzhou and its international sister cities, and jointly cultivate high-quality technical and skilled talents that meet the demands of global economic development.
To explore cooperation models such as international skills training, mutual recognition of international certificates, international joint education, and international artisan academies, and create a demonstration brand for vocational education in Guangzhou.
To promote the two-way interaction of skills “going global” and advanced technologies “coming in”, providing talent support for the modernization of vocational education and industrial upgrading.
